Returning a Product

If you are a consumer, you have the right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act to cancel an order by notifying us no later than 30 days after receiving the goods or the last batch of goods, or, in the case of regular delivery of goods, after receiving the first batch of goods. (Note! Products purchased from a store do not have a right of return; exchange right is 14 days.)

The product must be returnable in accordance with Chapter 6 of the Consumer Protection Act. The purpose of the Act is to give the consumer the right to examine the product as it would be possible in a store. The customer has the right to examine the contents of the package and try on the product carefully. However, the product must be completely scratch-free and in new condition when returned. Any seals on the product must be intact and untouched. The product packaging must be opened with general care.

When can a product not be returned?

Restrictions on the right of return are determined by Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act: The product is custom-made according to the customer's wishes

If a product is custom-made according to the customer's wishes, it does not have the right of exchange or return. For example, engraved products do not have a right of return. This also applies to the shortening of watch straps.

The product has been ordered specifically at the buyer's request

The product does not have a right of return and/or cancellation if it has been ordered from the factory specifically at the buyer's request. This also applies to products manufactured to order, such as rings.

Activated smartwatches

Activated smartwatches that have been taken into use do not have a right of return.

How do I return a product I ordered?

1. Ensure your product is returnable

We offer a 30-day exchange and return policy for products ordered from our online store, starting from the receipt of the order.

The right of cancellation applies to products that are in their original packaging, unused, and well-packaged for return shipping. If you are unsure about the return eligibility of a product, you can contact our online store's customer service (verkkokauppa@kulta-aika.fi)

2. Make a cancellation notification

Submit a cancellation notification using our cancellation form or by sending an unequivocal notification to our email address: verkkokauppa@kulta-aika.fi within 30 days of receiving the goods. The easiest way to notify us of a product return is to reply to your original order confirmation email.

We do not process returns sent/made without a cancellation notification.

3. Return the goods to Posti (Finnish Post Office)

Return the goods without delay and no later than 14 days after making the cancellation notification to our return address mentioned below. The sender must, if necessary, prove that the goods have been returned within the specified period, for example, with a return receipt. Please note that the sender must pay the costs incurred from canceling and returning the order. These costs will not be reimbursed to the sender. Cancellation and handling costs are 10 euros per return.

5. Returning a discounted product

If products were ordered with a discount code granted for orders valued over X €, and the customer returns some of the products so that the price of the products remaining with the customer falls below the threshold entitling them to the discount, the customer will be charged the original retail price of the remaining product, not the discounted price.

6. Failure to pick up the order

Failure to pick up an order does not constitute a cancellation. For uncollected packages for which no separate cancellation notification has been made, we will charge a fee of €19.90. This fee covers the actual delivery, cancellation, and handling costs.

Orders with "store pickup" selected as the delivery method will be automatically cancelled and refunded if the order has not been picked up within 60 days of its delivery.

7. Order Refund

We will reimburse payments received from you without delay, in accordance with consumer protection law. Processing of the refund takes approximately one week from the date of receipt of the order.

We receive the necessary information for the order refund from the payment intermediary.

The company reserves the right to cancel orders that violate the terms of delivery.
