Ear Piercing in Vantaa Tammisto (Blomdahl Method)

Ear Piercing Price

Piercing both ears costs 40 euros, while piercing one earlobe costs 20 €. The Blomdahl piercing service always includes, in addition to the earlobe piercing, high-quality, allergy-friendly aftercare earrings and aftercare instructions. The earrings are inserted by piercing, so they are always included in the piercing price. The initial aftercare earrings must be worn continuously for six weeks.

Where and When? (Kulta-Aika Tammisto)

Ear piercing in Vantaa can be done at our Kulta-Aika Tammisto store, located at Säätökuja 2B. We use the hygienic Blomdahl method. We serve walk-in piercings from 10 AM to 4 PM, but it's advisable to confirm that the person performing the piercings is present before your arrival. You can email us in advance or call our store directly.

Ear Piercing for Children

Our age limit for piercing is 7 years, and we only perform piercings for minors under 18 with a guardian's written consent (the guardian must be present). It's good to discuss ear piercing thoroughly with the child at home beforehand. In our store, we listen carefully to the child's wishes, and the piercing is done meticulously in a gentle atmosphere.

Since the Blomdahl earrings used for piercing are sterile and individually packaged, we always have to charge the full price if the earring package has already been opened and the child then refuses the piercing.

Tip for children: We recommend anesthetic patches or cream available at pharmacies. The patches are applied to the earlobes about an hour before the piercing, numbing the earlobe. Right next to our Tammisto store is Tammiston Uusi Apteekki, where you can conveniently pick up anesthetic patches.

How Ear Piercing is Done (Blomdahl)

1. First, the skin of the earlobes is cleaned with disinfectant, and the location for the future earring is marked on the skin with Blomdahl's own skin marker. The customer can check and approve the placement in a mirror before the piercing.

2. Blomdahl piercing is performed by installing a sterile, individually packaged earring into a carefully cleaned piercing instrument. All parts that touch the skin are sterile. The piercing device itself never touches the earlobe, only the earring and its sterile insertion part.

3. The piercing takes only a moment and is less painful than a vaccination. The earlobes may feel slightly warm immediately after the piercing, but this sensation will soon pass.

Note: We do not re-pierce closed or torn ear holes or pierce cartilage. In these cases, we recommend consulting a piercing studio.

Blomdahl Aftercare Earrings

The initial Blomdahl aftercare earrings should be worn for six weeks. They are designed to ensure the best possible healing of the piercing. Since piercing increases the risk of developing allergies, all Blomdahl jewelry is designed in collaboration with dermatologists. You can choose between pure, medical-grade titanium or medical plastic.

The post of the aftercare earrings is slightly thicker and longer, and the clasp is at the end of the post. This ensures that the piercing can heal with good air circulation and the clasp does not press against the earlobe. The clasp also protects the skin behind the ear from the sharp tip of the earring.

Ear Piercing Aftercare Instructions

• Always try to keep new ear piercings dry, airy, and clean.
• Clean the ear piercings (with the earrings in, do not remove them) twice a day with warm water and mild soap, and if desired, with an antiseptic spray.
• Dry the hole thoroughly after each cleaning.
• Never touch your ears with dirty hands and avoid unnecessary touching.
• Protect your ears when applying hairspray, perfume, or other chemicals.
• Be careful when dressing so that the earring does not get caught in clothing.
• Avoid saunas and swimming for as long as possible. If you swim, avoid submerging your head. It is not recommended to get new ear piercings right before the summer swimming season.
• Wear the first Blomdahl piercing earrings continuously for six weeks.
• It takes approximately one year for the holes to heal completely, so good hygiene must be maintained even after removing the initial earrings.
