General warranty information

The warranty is an additional benefit offered to you by the manufacturer or seller. The warranty provides a private customer with better rights than those specified by law for defects, which are defined either in terms of duration or scope. The warranty is determined according to the warranty terms defined by the manufacturer. Please carefully read the warranty terms supplied with the product before using it. The warranty terms can be found in the user manual, on a separate warranty form, or at the web address provided by the manufacturer. The warranty generally covers only manufacturing and material defects in the product. The warranty period is specified in the product information.

Liability for defects

The liability for defects mandated by the Consumer Protection Act covers defects even without a warranty. The liability for defects is determined by the product's expected lifespan, which is why the law does not set a time limit for it, but often the product's expected lifespan is 2 or 5 years. Liability for defects covers any defects that appear in the product in situations where the product is not considered to match what was agreed upon in terms of type, quantity, quality, other properties, and packaging.

Complaint or defect notification

Despite our high-quality products and meticulous operating procedures, the product you receive may have a defect. We sincerely apologize for this! In case of a complaint, please contact customer service immediately after noticing the defect. For complaints, you can reach our customer service by email at verkkokauppa@kulta-aika.fi. We always aim to respond to complaints as quickly as possible and find a solution that satisfies you. Products purchased from a store must be complained about directly to the store.

Warranty Service

Warranty repairs are always carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's or importer's warranty terms. We often direct you to contact the manufacturer or their service company directly, as this speeds up the service and is therefore in your best interest. You can always take the product to any Kulta-Aika store or to your nearest retailer for warranty service. All wristwatches are always serviced at the importer's official warranty service, so you can be sure that your watch is serviced by a professional watchmaker.

Duration of warranty service

We will deliver the product for warranty service without delay and always strive to have your product serviced as quickly as possible. If the product has a defect covered by the warranty, the product will be repaired or replaced with a similar product; the manufacturer's authorized service will primarily assess whether the product will be repaired or replaced with a new, similar one. The service time depends on the service need and the availability of any spare parts.

Warranty service costs

If a fault falls under warranty, the customer will not incur any costs for warranty service and repair. Delivery of the product to an authorised service centre is also free of charge for the customer. If the fault in the product is not covered by the warranty or liability for defects, the customer is responsible for the repair costs. The service centre may also charge an inspection fee and delivery costs according to its price list.

Battery warranty for wristwatches

The watches we deliver always come with a battery pre-installed by the manufacturer at the factory. We provide a one-year warranty for the battery. If the watch battery runs out within one year from the date of purchase, we will reimburse you for battery replacement costs up to eight (8) euros upon presentation of a receipt, or alternatively, you can have the battery replaced free of charge at any Kulta-Aika store.

Warranty for Wristwatches

All watches we represent come with the official manufacturer's / importer's warranty. The warranty period varies depending on the watch brand, but it is at least 1 year. For warranty matters, you can directly contact the store or the online store's customer service. The watch warranty only covers the watch movement and manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover wear and tear of the product's case and strap under normal use.
