The watch's biggest innovation is its new two-part Tough Silicone Band. The underside of the strap is made of comfortable silicone, while the protective urethane layer on the top makes it extremely durable. The strap has been treated with a gold-toned vapor deposition (gas-phase coating), creating a stunning mirror-like, metallic effect while retaining the comfort of silicone. The watch case is made of fiberglass-reinforced resin and stainless steel, ensuring the special shock resistance characteristic of G-Shock.
