Lumoava designer Salla Räsänen's starting point was to create a piece of jewelry that would honor independent Finland and depict the Finnish soulscape in a dignified and honest way. She drew inspiration from the historical phases related to Finland's independence, and the 1917 collection is a tribute to our homeland and the heroes who bravely defended it.
Lumoava jewelry is handcrafted in the world's northernmost jewelry factory in Kuopio. Saurum Oy, the manufacturer of Lumoava products, has a long history in the precious metals industry and is one of Finland's oldest jewelry factories. A strong history and expertise are behind the establishment of Lumoava.
