The inspiration for Verso arose on Lumoava designer Inni Pärnänen's windowsill, from her somewhat whimsical houseplant. This small-leaved plant thrives in northern light, gets upset when cut, but a cutting given to a friend might start to grow rapidly. The jewelry's leaf is a bit like a fairy tale – reflecting a real leaf without actually being authentic.
Lumoava jewelry is handcrafted in the world's northernmost jewelry factory in Kuopio. Saurum Oy, the manufacturer of Lumoava products, has a long history in the precious metals industry and is one of Finland's oldest jewelry factories.
