Knife care instructions

Sharpening:

• First, grind both sides of the blade with a coarse sharpening stone in the direction of the bevel until a "burr" forms on the edge of the blade.
• Remove the burr with the smoother side of the sharpening stone.
  
• Also use water for grinding.
• Clean and dry the blade.
• Sharpen the knife regularly to avoid a demanding single-time sharpening.

Sheath care:

• Treat the knife sheath with a leather conditioner if necessary.

Knife care:

• Do not wash the carbon steel knife in a dishwasher.
• Always dry and clean the blade after use.
• Keep the knife in its sheath and store it in a dry place.
• Treat the carbon steel periodically with cooking oil or paraffin oil.
