Helmi is a delicate jewellery series that joined Lumoava's collection in winter 2018. Helmi was designed by Heikki Hartikainen, and its idea originated many years ago. While designing the Kristiina jewellery series, Heikki noticed a heart had formed in its corner almost by accident, and this heart haunted his mind and his desk drawer for years until, in 2018, it ended up on his design table and evolved into Helmi.
Lumoava jewellery is handcrafted in the world's northernmost jewellery factory in Kuopio. Saurum Oy, the manufacturer of Lumoava products, has a long history in the precious metals industry and is one of Finland's oldest jewellery factories. A strong history and expertise are behind the founding of Lumoava.
