Lotta Svärd Promise hook earrings: What you achieve with your strength
These striking and vibrant Promise earrings are a magnificent eye-catcher. The piece consists of three stacked silver elements (3 x 12 mm), which move beautifully thanks to the hook fastening. The outer edge of each part is encircled by the powerful sentence of Lotta leader Fanni Luukkonen: "What you achieve with your strength". This recurring message, together with the design by Heli Kauhanen, which depicts intertwined hands, strongly symbolises the chain and continuity of generations. The jewellery is handcrafted in Finland in Hämeenlinna from recycled 925 sterling silver.
A promise is more than a word; it is a strong indication of voluntary commitment and the determined attitude towards life that has been instrumental in building Finland. The jewellery series, created in collaboration between the Lotta Svärd Foundation and Kultakeskus, is a tribute to the legacy, courage and selflessness of the Lottas. The guiding theme of the series is the golden words of the Pikkulottas: "Respect the past, believe in the future". The jewellery also carries Lotta leader Fanni Luukkonen's timeless message: "What you achieve with your strength". These words remind us that within each of us lies strength, hope and a sense of right and wrong.
