The beard bead comes with 2 silicone elastic bands. You can use the elastic band to finish braiding your beard or place it under the beard bead to create friction, helping the bead stay in place better.

Instructions for attaching the beard bead:
Thoroughly moisten your beard, for example, using a spray bottle.
Braid your beard.
Secure the braid, for instance, with a silicone elastic band (silicone won't damage your beard).
Thread the beard bead through the braided beard. (If the braid is thin, you can place a silicone ring under the bead to create friction).
