Korpiklaani Saga
The wilderness and the backwoods have always been a strange and frightening place for travelers and locals alike. Finland's ancient
folklore tells of the backwoods that grew over villages, of "backwoods wanderers" and "golden backwoods men," people
who lived and grew in the backwoods. These people carried jewelry: "that shines silver," said those who had seen the people.
With their help, the backwoods people could travel long distances to other lands, gaining security, knowledge, and
strength to cross seas, continents, and lands of silence. The jewelry never failed its wearer.
The backwoods people were spoken of as: "renowned wanderers, fair," whose evening gatherings, music, and song reached the villages.
"The forest played, the backwoods boomed," the villagers explained the next day. Among the people, stories of the backwoods
people were passed from father to son for hundreds of years. Among the backwoods people, jewelry, like words,
was passed from father to son and from mother to daughter. Each of them was known by their jewelry. Over the centuries, from the descendants of these people
grew and rose the clan of the backwoods, which, like its ancestors, traveled from land to continent, crossing seas
and lands of silence, carrying with them the spirit of a wanderer, the tongue of a drinker, strength, protection, or knowledge-giving
jewelry of the "golden king of the backwoods."

The piece of jewelry, forged at the beginning of time and sun for the neck of the backwoods people, was intended for the wanderer seeking knowledge. It
was shaped like a shaman drum, in the center of which an ancient shaman symbol was added to remind of
all knowledge. The jewelry empowered the wanderer's path in the known and unknown world. Its wearer received
all the knowledge from the path traveled that those who had traveled the path before knew. For the wearer of the jewelry, all paths were possible to travel and the chosen path always the right one.
